Hosanna Church Update

An Update on the Ponchatoula, Lousiana Satanic Ritual Abuse Case

Two young men expected to testify in the upcoming trial of Trey Bernard in Ponchatoula have recanted. 17 and 21 years old, they now say they were not ritually abused by members of Ponchatoula's Hosanna Church as children.
A 7-year-old girl allegedly abused by the Hosanna "cult" has not recanted, but isn't expected to testify.

Hey, it might be worth noting that the accused in this case, Trey Bernard, has been convicted. This was a very well substantiated case of ritual abuse.

Not only had Bernard had detailed the ritual abues in his diaries, but the FBI provided evidence at the trial that included direct evidence of satanic ritual abuse. Bernard's group had painted a room on church property completely black, with satanic symbols written on the walls that lit up only under UV light.

The 'recantations' that you mention here were rejected by the jury, on the basis that the boys who 'recanted' did so only after being placed in the care of Bernard's parents (their grandparents) while Bernard was in jail.

You appear to infer that Bernard is innocent of all charges because he was accused of ritual abuse. In fact, Bernard was convicted of extremely serious sexual offences against children, and the evidence against him was of a very high standard.
